The Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF) is the largest private non-profit research funding organization in Austria. Its twin missions are to fund cutting-edge scientific research projects in Vienna and to bring highly talented young researchers to the city. As both a driving force for the City of Vienna and a strong proponent for Viennese universities and research institutions, the WWTF is dedicated to increasing the excellence of the research landscape in the city.
R&D:The WWTF has been running funding calls in its Life Science Program almost every year since 2003. Each call is run with a specific thematic focus, which may range from Precision Medicine to Chemical Biology. Through these funding calls, the WWTF seeks to provide excellent researchers in Vienna with the funds required to carry out innovative research projects.
