R&D:The Medical University of Graz is devoted to excellent research which benefits society by delivering new methods and technologies, products, and services. The focus areas of research include neurosciences, cancer research, sustainable health research and metabolic, cardiac and vascular research. However, in partnership with the University Hospital, the University’s spectrum in research covers a wide range of clinical and pre-clinical sub-specialties from A (as in anatomy) to Z (as in zytology).
Services:The Medical University of Graz operates the Comprehensive Cancer Center Graz, the Biobank Graz (one of the largest biobanks in Europe), and a Competence Center for Biomarker Research (CBmed). In addition, a variety of core facilities and research centers offer services in Clinical Research (Clinical Trials Unit), Molecular Biology, Computational Bioanalytics, Imaging, Mass Spectroscopy, Ultrastructure Analysis, Genetic Counseling, Public Health, Environmental Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
