The Department Life Sciences acts as an international academic competence centre of interdisciplinary education and research. The Department of Life Sciences is divided into the institutes: the Institute of Biotechnology (Research, development and knowledge transfer) and the Research Institute Krems Bioanalytics (Contract research institute of the IMC FH Krems in the field of biotechnology).
R&D:The Department of Life Sciences focuses its research activities on the following main research areas: Materials Sciences, Medical Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering. The Department aims to facilitate communication and interaction between researchers looking at various aspects of applied biomedicine research. We focus on cancer, immune system disorders, toxicology, drug research and the latest bioprocess engineering techniques, to name just a few of our areas of expertise.
Services:Institute Krems Bioanalytics (IKB) is the contract research institute of the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems. The IKB provides contract research for the pharmaceutical industry, biotech companies and academia since 2014. We have in-depth scientific expertise in immunology, oncology and drug development. Krems Bioanalytics specializes in innovative bioanalytical solutions for biotherapeutics and vaccines with strong expertise in immunogenicity assessment. https://krems-bioanalytics.com/
