R&D:Salzburg University of Applied Sciences has a research revenue totaling approx. 3,5 Mio € per year. The skills of our researchers are showcased in ~100 projects annually, with Life Sciences account-ing up to almost 20%. Research is clustered along the study programs and additionally six research centers. Life Sciences take place in almost all of the areas, projects are usually interdisciplinary. Focus is set on health sciences, biomedical analysis, bioinformatics and bioderived smart materials.

Our BioLab is a core facility for laboratory medicine, focusing on establishing, testing and validating of available and new diagnostics in life sciences, in-vitro-diagnostics, point of care and microfluidic technologies. Additionally, we offer material testing, chemical analysis or surface examinations of biogenic materials.
