Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences (KL Krems) at Campus Krems offers a modern, demand-oriented education and continuing education in medicine and psychology as well as a PhD programme in Mental Health and Neuroscience. Research at KL Krems is marked by scientific collaboration between different departments from key fields of health sciences, medicine and psychology. The three university hospitals in Krems, St. Pölten and Tulln and the MedAustron Ion Therapy and Research Centre in Wiener Neustadt guarantee clinical teaching and research of the highest quality.

R&D:KL Krems focuses on interdisciplinary fields relevant to health policy – including mental health and neurosciences, oncology, medicine and technology as well as the topic of water quality and the associated health aspects. The university is also dedicated to scientific research in primary and secondary care, ranging from nursing science and gerontology to general and family medicine. Clinical research with national and international scope is conducted at the three university hospitals and at MedAustron.

Services:With its excellent laboratory and research infrastructure, a competent research service and an ever-growing network of scientific and business partners, KL supports scientific careers and helps to create role models for future researchers. Funding instruments that enable internationally competitive clinical research, training programmes and a targeted science communication support researchers and their careers and strengthen Lower Austria as a research location.
