The Future Health Lab is an innovation centre advancing the public provision of healthcare in Austria. It is operated in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health and the Austrian Health Insurance Fund, and together with the Impact Hub. Since 2023, key stakeholders have been joining forces to develop common solutions to key challenges that no organization can overcome alone: in new collaboration formats, without bureaucracy, in a protected space, and at eye level.
R&D:Our first multi-stakeholder programs have been centered on the optimization of patient pathways according to the motto 'digital before outpatient before inpatient', e.g. on topics like type 2 diabetes and COPD lung diseases. Now, we're about get together for some co-creation on healthier citizens and the hospitals of the future.
Services:Whichever the topic and set of stakeholders involved, the FHL creates trusting, safe spaces to prepare the ground for relevant solutions that reach implemention across the Austrian healthcare system. The driving principles through it all? User centricity, interdisciplinary cooperation, and ambitious innovation – persistently seeking a better way. Both patients and health professionals are involved into every innovation process.
