Pregenerate GmbH is a Vienna- based medtech startup established in November, 2019 with an aim to improve treatment outcomes for osteoarthritis patients by in vitro monitoring of cellular responses to different therapeutics. The Pregenerate team consists of five full time employees with extensive academic and clinical experience, as well as years of expertise in the pharmaceutical industry.
R&D:Our core technology of cartilage-on-a-chip has the potential to dramatically improve arthritis treatments for each individual patient. PreGenerate’s analysis compares up to 6 different types of existing treatment on the individual patient’s cells in our in vitro device, simulating the environment of the joint and analyzing which genes the patient’s cells turn up or down in response. This output gives the attending physician objective data points for optimal treatment planning.
Services:Our first market entry will focus on patients who self-pay for their arthritis care, as early adopters. In order to scale our service while maintaining our first-mover advantage, PreGenerate will out-license our know-how to medical laboratories with existing complementary infrastructure. PreGenerate will also provide services to Pharma to offer them clinically relevant way to revolutionize pharmaceutical research and development, which costs billions of dollars per average drug development.
