The Complexity Science Hub Vienna was founded with the aim of using Big Data for the benefit of society. The objectives of the Complexity Science Hub Vienna (CSH) are the establishment of the science of complex systems in Austria and Central Europe, the acquisition of knowledge from big data sets, and the development of tools for the management of complex systems. The basis for CSH’s work is data collected on a large scale and used to its full potential for the management of complex systems.
R&D:Complexity science links state-of-the-art mathematics, modelling, data and computer science with fundamental questions posed from various disciplines, such as medicine, economics, ecology or social sciences, and opens new paths to a deeper understanding of systemic risks, resilience, efficiency, and the requirements for sustainable innovation and creativity.
